Terms of Service

These Terms apply to the use of “Piano Fingering” (the “Service”) provided by us to you (“User”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service

The Service processes a PDF score uploaded by the User, adds automated fingering and note-name labels, and returns a processed PDF. The output quality depends on the source score and recognition conditions; accuracy, completeness and fitness are not guaranteed (beta service).

2. Account

  1. Users must provide true and accurate registration info. Minors must obtain consent from a legal guardian.
  2. Users are responsible for safeguarding account credentials and must notify us of any unauthorized use.

3. Pricing, Subscription and Payment

  1. Paid plans and prices are shown on the checkout page. Payments are processed by Stripe.
  2. Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically each billing period. You can cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect from the next renewal and the remaining period is available.
  3. Refunds: due to the nature of digital services, no refunds after delivery (except where required by law).

4. Beta Founder Pricing

If you subscribe during the beta period, your beta price is locked for 12 months from the first charge—even after the stable release. The lock is void if the subscription is cancelled, payment fails, or the plan is changed.

5. User Content and Rights

  1. Users warrant that they have the necessary rights to upload the score. The copyright of the original work remains with the rights holder.
  2. We may temporarily store the uploaded file and the output only for processing and troubleshooting and delete them after a short retention period (see Privacy Policy).

6. Prohibited Activities

7. Disclaimer and Liability

We provide the Service “as is”. Except for willful misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for any damages arising from use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount actually paid by the User for the month of the claim (0 if free).

8. Changes and Suspension

We may modify or suspend the Service (including beta functions) for maintenance or unavoidable reasons. Important changes will be announced on the website or by email.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction for the first instance.
